JONATHAN STONE
From Imagining to Managing
10 June 2024.
I have just returned from filming a new Facedances project in Montbeliard . The town has been nominated French Cultural capital, 2024. Montbeliard Facedances 2 has been commissioned by the Scene National de Montbeliard. It will be shown in September exhibition at HotelSponeck and in large scale projection on September 28th. The technology and people have changed. It will be recognisable but unique, different and better! You can see the first Montbeliard Facedances on the Facedance page of this website.
May 2024 - I am writing a biography. Its about 70,000 words, some edited, some unedited, some fragments, some yawning gaps. I want it to flow smoothly so its lots of work. This might take years!
From 28th June to 4th July 2022 I did a 7 day residency at South House Faversham Kent thanks to a generous invitation from CJ Mitchell and Karen Christopher. I wanted to connect my awareness of my own functional disability to relearning some songs on the guitar written during Covid and relating to older performance writings.
During Spring 2021 I had a writing Studio on the Southbank, in a 12th floor room over looking the river. I made London Walks as I walked through the deserted streets of Central London to my studio. Please click here for texts, images, video from the walk as I witnessed the changing city in a Covid and post covid world.

October 21: This jumper is a collaboration between some moths and me. I opened my cupboard, took out this jumper and was disappointed to find to had been eaten by moths. Rather than throw it away, I chose to collaborate with those moths. They chose the fabric, they made the holes. I darned them.
